17th May 2008 Windsurfing: Minster Wind Direction: NE\'ly Wind Stength: 5 Surf / Sea State: Small Waves Air Temperature: 14 Sea Temperature: 14 Weather: Rainy Max Speed: Distance Covered: I had a cracker of a day up at Minster! I arrived about 1:00pm, and it was honking, so rigged the 4.7. That was perfect for an hour or so, and I was really enojoying myself - felt very confident and was just blasting around having fun. There were some (very) small waves, but enought ot have a play on - I rode a couple and was wiggling around on them having a ball. I'm looking forward to having a go on some larger waves... The wind dropped after the first hour or so, and macame more like 5.8 weather, but I could be bothered to re-rig, as I was still planing in the gusts and was learnign how to sail my board off the plane... My GF was a diamond - spent 4 hours sat in the van in the pouring rain spectating and reading magazines, and was more than happy!! Although she did take the p*ss and told me a sailed like a snail, and spent more time in the water than on the board.... she must have been watching the wrong guy! |
